The immense sadness occasioned by Paddy's dreadfully distressing descent into the blackness of Alzheimer's Disease cannot eclipse the glittering and unforgettable memories of his musical joie de vivre and ebullience. He was a fine, loyal and warm friend, urbane, courageous and an evangelist for the extraordinary range of music that he sung, conducted and performed (not forgetting the trombone!). It was a privilege and joy to sing and play jazz with Paddy as well as sing in the Church, Charity, NATO and other choirs he conducted with such verve and irrepressible enthusiasm. He always strove for the best in himself and others. The multiple vivid memories of Paddy and Margaret, Mark and Catherine have the power to illuminate and inspire when the cares of the world press down. In love and memoriam Paddy, Adrian x
We miss him greatly but hold to the memory of his unquenchable spirit, élan and optimism and belief that he could make better singers of us as a choir! Requiescat in Pace Paddy and conduct the heavenly choir with joy and verve!
